Defending road design cases not only requires knowledge of Arizona law, including immunity defenses and special statutes, but also proficiency in guidelines published by American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), ADOT Guidelines and Standard Drawings, the Arizona and National Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), NCHRP, and federal transportation statutes and regulations. We have worked with these guidelines for decades, and don't need to get up to speed for your case on your dime.
We have also worked with traffic engineers, accident reconstructionists, biomechanical engineers, barrier experts, and human factor experts to assist juries and judges in understanding the dynamics of crashes and roadway design. We have handled claims arising out of roadway engineering, construction, plans, traffic control, guardrail, median barrier, maintenance, clear zone, and signing.
